Get ready to walk on the moon's surface, as now the moon itself coming to earth.
Yes, it is true.
We are not joking.
Ok, let’s make you clear.
An architectural design and intellectual property firm from Canada (moonworldresortsinc) are planning to construct moon-like sphere-shaped structures in four different locations of the world and Dubai is the first choice of this firm
This structure will be grand, highly complex & unique. According to the sources, this structure will be 200 meters tall with a 198-meter sphere diameter. The development will comprise approx 4,000 luxury resort suites and 300 private residences, positioned internally within the main structure. Owners of these private residences will have some exclusive privileges.
Now many of you thinking about the structural design of this artificial moon-type building. So let’s start from the bottom.
Now the biggest question is, what material would be used to create the best replication of the moon and its craters?
According to the source, to give this structure durability & toughness they will use carbon fibre composite material with solar cells to generate power for illumination, according to the different moon phases. There will be multiple display options for the light shows, just like Burj Khalifa.
Moon World Resorts plans to launch this project in different 4 parts of the world - America, Europe, MENA and Asia. And for the MENA region, there are four names in the consideration of MWR (UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
The company expects approx $5 billion budget for construction with annual revenue of $1.8 billion. If this project is sanctioned in Dubai then it will welcome at least 10 million visitors annually.
According to the MWR, “the fully integrated resort in the project will be constructed as per LEED Gold 5 Star standard and operated at the 5-diamond level. Regional licensees have two choices - develop this project as a standalone or central focal point & part of the mixed-use community just like Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai.”
If at this time regional licensee & regulatory authorities are ready and land acquisition is done, then we need 12 months for pre-production and then 48 months for construction activities. With this calculation, the doors could open by 2027-28.
